Hi Guys. I'm new to the form.

DVD Styler refuses to burn a few .iso files using just "copy" so that it will not reencode. Same message when I turn off transcode for both files. It says the bit rate is to high. and the file needs to be reduced, size wise, for DVD compliance. What about the audio? Does it need attention to? What SHOULD these Video and audio values be within my source mpeg 2 file? The file was rendered from Vegas Pro 17 using the MainConcept MPEG-2 template.

Also, when I DO come up with a compliant file, does DVD STYLER require a reencode if I am just using Styer to add chapter markers? I usually delete the default new project menu. I then add my files as TITLES. I only set a post command on the last title. Under options, I set the "Pre-Command" to Play Title 1. I never use a template of any kind or navigation buttons that could appear on a main menu.

Here is the MediaInfo for one of the files giving me trouble:

I don't see anything wrong with the video except the GOP size is not stated (max 15 for NTSC)

For the audio you need to have either a AC3 or PCM if audio is present https://www.videohelp.com/dvd

I have previously had problem with DVDStyler not recognizing interlaced NTSC that I encoded outside DVDStyler with HCEnc as not being DVD compliant and wanted to reencode. I simply just selected "Copy" for the video and generated a flawless DVD.

    Cheers

PS You could use Gspot or MPEG Validator to check the GOP structure.
