Running configure for 3.0.4, getting this error on ./configure:
checking for wxWidgets media... no
configure: error:
wxWidgets media library (libwx_gtk2u_media) is missing.
I am sorta new at this Linux SW, so help and patience appreciated. I do have 3.0.4 installed and running and it is fantastic, but I want to compile it as part of my learning process.

I'm having exactly the same problem, 3 years later. I'm trying to compile DVDStyler. It's an act of desperation since Bombono is not installable on my system and Kdenlive has dropped the DVD wizard. I need to be able to make chapters and a menu for my wife's DVD recordings of students. I'm running KDE Neon 5.23. Can't seem to find the proper media library anywhere.

Man, why go to so much trouble? I used to run DVDStyler on MX Linux, but they stopped including it in their recommended software list. Anyway you might not like this, but just get a cheap Windows machine. and use the latest 64 bit version of Styler. It's not a knock on Linux, I've been using it for over 20 years. It's just that some programs are just better on Windows.
Have you tried running it in a Virtual machine?

Thanks, peate9! My wife has a Windows machine, so I'll give that a try.
