Issues on DVD Multiplexed video

I have prepared a DVD with menu with a success message at the end of the process but when I burn an ISO image while the menu itself is ok, the video looks strange:
1- at start of the video screen shows changing color squares either on VLC or on the MAC DVD reader (see attached files)
2- the mid and end of the video look ok on VLC but not on the MAC DVD reader where the top ⅓ of the screen is light grey

A burned DVD using that iso file shows the same image problems

I use version 3.0.2 for MAC (see attached files for my MAC config)

what should I change to get it corrected? thanks in advance for your help

Perhaps you should tell if the video is encoded in DVDStyler. If so maybe give info on the source video using MediaInfo View -> Text.

And as you probably noted you can't make attachments when starting a thread. You need to make a second post.

The original video has been encoded in FCP X (in attachment attached the export settings), below the MdiaInfo as per your recomendation, i hope this will give you enough info, otherwise please ask me more:

An iterim response:

I believe the distortion in the start of your video may be due to the chroma subsampling on the DVD is 4:2:2. On a DVD it should be 4:2:0.

I'm not sure if it explains the grey parts of the video.

I'm not a MAC user and not that familiar with FCP but as far as I know it can output a DVD image. You could mount such image and either in DVDStyler use "DVD -> Add -> Titles from DVD..." or make a mpg file with MPEG Streamclip as discussed here

As a work around try double-clicking your video and as filter use format=yuv420p
