Open properties of VMGM menu, put tick in box where it says Title. That should fix all your problems.

Hi peate9, thanks for your reply. I already have that box ticked. I created a left arrow on the first chapter menu which should also lead to the VMGM menu, but when I click it nothing happens.

I could solve the last problem (with the left arrow) meanwhile. There was a root box ticked in the first chapter menu. Nevertheless I don't get my DVD player to start with the VMGM menu.

What was incompatible? More details would help the gurus better help you
Ask the press people what they suggest you use to make the ISO. THEN save your DVD to a folder and make the ISO with the software they like. Today you can download one of the free ones and see if they like THAT output

Hi Rick, thanks for your help.

Today I got the following answer from the press plant. Does this help you?

We use the latest version of Eclipse ImageCopy 12.0

The error message is ‘’ Volume Descriptor Sequences Are Not Equivalent (Inconsistency between UDF Main and Reserve Volume Descriptor Sequences)

We rebuild masters by the freeware program ‘IMBURN’ We only rebuild masters of the original masterfiles. In this case we would mount the ISO file and then reuse all folders/files

(cannot be done for hybride masters for PC/MAC and also not for audio)
To create a DVD vicdeo in this case we have a very good result with the freeware programm ‘IMMBURN’.
This programm is so smart that it recognize by itself that it concerns a DVD-rom or DVD-video and will use the correct settings (with the message that what they do)

      For example:
It is not possible to write DVD video files as DVDrom
Correct layer breaks will be visible on forhand. You can choose 1. And if there is no correct layer break then you aso get this noted. You can check if there is a correct layerbreak on the ISO for DVD video
IFO files en BUP files will always be placed far from eachother to avoid problems with playability if you have scratches on the disc.

This problem occured with using ‘MKISOFS’.
If you use IMGBURN this would not happen. We often made ISO masters created by MKISOFS which gave problems.

Here is a link to IMGBURN

        https://www.imgburn.com

Beyond that, let the Gurus here step in

No. Use DVD Styler to generate the folders only. Not an ISO file. You'll get a folder with 2 folders: AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS.

VLC will play the VIDEO folder just by dragging it on to the screen, Same with Media Player Classic, my personal favorite. Then you can try all your buttons, navigate the DVD and check for errors.

If you're happy with the results, then use your program of choice to make the ISO.
