Hey. I was working on "Full HD" project recently, did all the menus I needed and so on. However, the moment I open it again later, everything just resets to low-res: menu resolution is set to minimal 720p; buttons have messed up attributes, like its text size is way too big, the button itself is misaligned or covers up the nearby ones. Seems that the default resolution is 720p, and it load up a project with changes according to the standard setting. Also applying HD options back or copy-pasting .xml text from backup to .dvds-file doesn't fix the problem.
Is there any way to fix this up?

It looks like Allow HD menus and Allow HD Video is still in "experimental" stages and has not changed or been developed on for years.
The thing "NOT" to do is to save the file with those settings. Before you save, uncheck the 2 Allow HD settings.
I experimented with this with 1920 x 1080 menus to see if the program DVDtoBD worked. It did produce the BDMV folders and all seemed correct. But playing the BDMV folder using the VLC player, and it would not start with the DVDStyler created VMGM menu. The video started playing straight away. I feel like I am clutching at straws here.

Disregard saving the file by unchecking the Allow HD settings. That does not work. In DVD Options, set DVD Resolution back to SD (standard) before saving.

I could only get this to display and work with VLC Player and PotPlayer. MPC and other players would display the menu highlight buttons way out and off synchronisation.
I found that menu button highlighting colours and button selection colours would only show if placed on the left half of the DVDStyler screen. If button text or button symbol is even a little over the centre, the highlight and selection colour will not show in players.
To convert the DVD generated files to the Blu-ray disc format and structure, I used the program called DVDtoBD. It does convert the DVD files, but it will not copy the menu buttons correctly. The highlight colour and select button are not copied. I tried all setting in DVDtoBD but it still would not copy the menu buttons, which renders the BDMV folder useless. The program stopped development in 2011 and there is no help.

I only tried it once as a test for another discussion here. I know it worked when I generated the folders AUDIO_TS AND VIDEO_TS. It played in Power DVD, my go to player and tester. Both menus and video were 1080, according to Media Info. What I didn't do is save it and try to reload it. I must try another one. I'll report back later.

Keep in mind that the High Definition Menu generated VIDEO_TS folder plays OK, and I can navigate with the buttons. It is the BDMV folder generated by DVDtoBD that is the problem.
I have tracked the problem down in the DVDtoBD.log that is in the destination folder you nominate. With the High Definition Menu it will error with this:

Both PowerDVD and Leawo Blu-ray Player show the navigation highlight buttons and they work. That was the DVDStyler SD (standard) setting though.

Do you get this error?
Where is Manolito when you need him? :-)

This is exactly the same problem I have here:

Alright, thanks for replies! I'll see if this way works in my case.
Allow HD menus and Allow HD Video.
