#725 Preview Panel Doesn't Update

After trying to add a custom button, I find that now, I don't get outlines on items that I click in the Menu Preview Panel. My mouse changes when I hover over them, and I can even supposedly move them, but the preview looks the same. I've tried all sorts of toggling settings, resizing the window, and it remains locked. If I restart the program, I am suddenly able to see any changes I made during the last program usage: buttons I moved, an ellipse I added, etc.. But still, as I click on these elements, no box outline appears, and I am unable to see how they are being edited.
