#697 Unable to burn DVD Mac 10.15.3

I'm using DVDStyler 3.1 with Mac OS 10.15.3

Using the DVDStyler program, it doesn't seem to recognize my external DVD drive. I keep getting "insert a blank DVD" pop-up even though I have inserted blank DVDs.
I also tried the suggestion to create an ISO file. The ISO file is 1.45gb in size. I put the file on my desktop, then right-clicked on .iso icon and selected "Burn image to disc". The DVD+R is 4.7gb in size. It appears to do complete burn but "fails" when in verifying stage.
