I had a source MPEG2 video that was 1.01 GB in size. This video had 9 chapters set.
Upon compiling the DVD, DVDStyler gave the following error:
ERR: Cannot jump to chapter 9 of title 1, only 8 exist
When I examined the generated DVD after the failure, I see that the video itself was split into two parts.
The first part is VTS_04_1.VOB at 0.99 GB, and the second part being VTS_04_2.VOB at 15.8 MB in size. It appears as though it is getting confused over this splitting of the source video, and not assigning the last chapter correctly to the second part of the split video file.
Even though all chapter marks were valid, the only way around this was to delete one of the chapters, so that the source video only contained 8 chapter marks.
After doing this, the DVD compiled successfully.
Is there a limitation of 8 chapters per source video, or was this problem due to the splitting apart of the source video itself?
I apologize. I forgot to mention that I am using v3.0.4. Thanks for creating such a great program.
I would be really interested to know if there is currently a number of chapters limitation and what can be done if the resulting DVD is split into several VOBs. Thanks for your answers
