After I download and install your software, when I try to launch it, I get a message that says "Apple could not verify "DVDStyler.app" is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy." It then wants to move it to the trash. Can you help with this, please. Thank you, Rick
I've had good results using a program called "Subtitle Edit". I import the video into the program and output the srt file with the UTF-8 setting.
I used DVDStyler to burn a dvd the other day but I was only to put a few of the videos I wanted onto it. Every time I would try to add more than 5 videos DVDStyler would just close without any sort of error message. I decided to just burn what I could on the dvd and found another problem. The audio on some of the videos glitches I'm not sure if that's because I did something wrong or if that's some other problem.
hello! there is an option in DVDStyler to highlight a button when selected. i chose an underline, which was showing until it doesn't anymore, for some reason. the buttons still work, but they are no longer highlighted when selected. i'm not sure what is causing this. i thought is was the video player i was using that wasn't showing the underline, and i made sure the button borders were not cutting off the underline, but i can't figure out what's causing this issue. could someone help me? i appreciate...

Hi, Dvdstyler doesn't let me drag buttons from the buttons asset tab anymore, giving me a "Drag & drop opperation failed" error. Backgrounds do the same. This happened suddenly when I opened DVDStyler today. Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks in advance, Ostil
You have done the right thing. But you need to insert your blank writable DVD disc into the DVD drive (which connects to or is built in your computer) and then select it as target in the "Device" dialog (This computer of mine has no DVD drive so it is not clickable). Then click the "Burn Disc" option. As to the "Burn Options", set according to your own needs. By following these steps, theoratically you can create a playable DVD disc. But I'm not 100% sure since I didn't create a playable disc by...

Unfortunately, the DVD-Video standard only supports NTSC at a maximum resolution of 720 x 480, so most DVD players will not play a DVD if you put a high-resolution video on it. The Blu-ray standard supports higher resolutions.

I used to burn videos in NTSC 720x480 format (the maximum abailable) but now several sites provide videos with better resolutions than 720x480. I tried to burn videos in NTSC 1920x1080 format, using the option "Copy" of the properties box, but, when I try to watch in a DVD player, the image doesn't change from the menu to the video. When I try to author a DVD I get an error message and the DVD won't burn. What's strange is that it doesn't happen every time I try. I can't find any pattern as to why I get the error message sometimes and sometimes not. I've attached a screen shot showing the message. Any help is very appreciated!
I would recommend having the video you want to play before the menu to be a regular video file, and then the one you want to loop to be attached to the main menu. You can have the video file play before the main menu appears, and then have the post command lead into the main menu. This way, you do not have to worry about timing the buttons for the main menu. They will appear the same time as the looped video. 1.) To do this, load in your pre-menu video file, and go to DVD > options and open up the...

I have not used CDBurnerXP. I attach an image of Japanese famous site. I do not need the Leawo tool.

I still have the VIDEO_TS folder and I haven't even deleted it. I downloaded the CD/DVD software called "CDBurnerXP". It's basic for beginners. So I entered CDBurnerXP, I chose an option says "Video DVD (Allows you to create video discs for use with a DVD player.)," I only have to choose a any VIDEO_TS folder I want to burn it onto a blank DVD disc so it can be playable in standard DVD players. I mean, the entire VIDEO_TS folder. So, yeah. Are you sure this will work?
Have you got your deleted VIDEO_TS folder back? If not, how can you burn it to DVD disc? I haven't used DVDStyler, but used this Leawo tool for a long time. This Video_TS to DVD burning guide might help.
any fix available ?
Hey so I've started using DVDstyler and its pretty good but I need to know how to do these things in the subject title, thanks.
wrong proportion for rotated videos
I also see now that the correction that has to be applied (frame on let and rigt sides, 198 px ) does not work correctly. The generated DVD video, as seen in the preview, on the screen of the PC, still has the wrong proportion, it is vertical, but 1,25 (12,5:10) instead of 1,77 (16:9). If I add more to the side frame in the Title settings of that video, the video is still shown in the same wrong proportion of 12,5:10 (too wide) instead of 16:9 vertical.

Hi! I'm struggling with authoring a DVD with DVDstyler. I have added an m2v file and an AC3 file (it's a 5.1 mix) but they do not sync correctly. If I add value in milliseconds to the "offset" dialogue under properties, it seems to just do nothing. Very frustrating! any experts in here who could give me some pointers on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance!
And before you ask, yes, I have converted the files from srt to scc.
Hi, me again. Now I am the same person who had the issue with the audio only working for one thing, which i have fixed. I also now only use DVDStyler to convert my edited vob files to one working for a dvd. I was wondering if Closed Caption (Line 21) was an option to add (there's no free program for windows and i don't have a mac). I know subtitles also exist but I am adding both CC and Subtitles to my dvd.
So im trying to make custom chapters on my dvd but whenever I view the preview in VLC the timings for the chapters are a few milliseconds off. Like if I view the footage in Openshot and see that the frame the scene changes is at 1:38.680 but when I set the chapter timings to that in DVD styler for a PAL dvd the timing is off by several frames so it misses parts. Hope this makes sense, hard to explain. Point is I need some help regarding timings for PAL dvds.
Same on Fedora rawhide. I tried fixing it quickly, but it's not trivial. Relevant FFmpeg commit: https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFmpeg/commit/5432d2aacad5fa7420fe2d9369ed061d521e92d6 .
Has there been a fix for this? I'm having the same issue. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Even after reading the manual I'm still confused between menus and titles. Here's what I want to accomplish. I have several MP4 clips that I want to assemble into a video ISO file. When I double click the ISO file I want a menu to appear with an entry for each clip. I want to be able click on any clip. The video should start at that point. When that clip is finished I want it to play the next video automatically. When it has played the last clip I want it to return to the menu. I also want a way...
Hey there. I'm having the same issue with that same software. Havn't used it as long though. I was actually looking for codecs to add, (parts of it that allow it to "speak the same language" as different formats in order to be able to work with them, basically), when I saw your post. Sadly, I haven't found anything whatsoever to fix the problem. No patches or even upgrades to help at all. Even the latest version I could find didn't work properly, if at all. I do, however, have an alternate that I...
I have been using DVD Styler for a long time, but for the past few months I keep getting fail messages when trying to burn DVDs. I even bought a second external DVD drive, thinking that maybe the first one was the problem, but it isn't. Can anyone either help me to sort out the issue or recommend to me another...

I'm trying to burn a dvd with imported .ass subtitles, but when i generate the ISO or burn it to a dvd, they gradually become more delayed as the movie goes on. This doesn't happen with the original mkv or the re-encoded mpg. I was also having this issue with the audio, but was able to fix it. The audio track was about 30 seconds shorter than the video and was being stretched to fit the runtime. Could this be happening with the subtitles too?

Why does the monitor have to be vertical? Can't the monitor just be rotated?
So basically whenever I need to open an old DVDStyler project sometimes it can't find the files because the drive letter changed and so THEN I need to go and change the letter for the drive for only solving this issue. Is there another way that I can fix this without having to change the drive letter completely?
I have used DVDStyler for a number of years without any issues but recently DVDStyler as stopped burning the DVD due to repeatly asking to insert a blank disc (done many times with fresh blank disks and with different external DVD writer). I get a windows defender messages each time (something about DVDStyler writing to memory etc), I have tried running DVDStyler as Administrator to no effect. Windows10 and latest software version.
well nevermind, i think i got it. i switched copy to omit on the video properties for each video and it worked. I guess I misunderstood that drop down.
Hello, after making hundreds of DVDs successfully with this setup it failed today and I can't figure out the problem. It is 4 .mkv files and the subtitles on the first are causing issues, i can remove it and generate successfully with just the other 3 fileswith subtitles and it works fine. As you can see from the log, it transcodes the video just fine and multiplexes the subtitles fine but then fails very early in Generate DVD step. I have remade the DVDstyler file from scratch and I have re-extracted...

I am currently trying to burn seasons of a show onto multiple DVDs. My issue is that once the disc is burned and I watch it back, the videos are skipping/freezing as if it is lagging, and the audio is always a touch off. I have tried multiple times with different settings, but still no success. I am on a Mac using a plug-in DVD burner and am using DVD-R discs. My videos were initially MP4s, but I switched to MPEG2, hoping that would fix it, but neither one was successful. I am burning them at 1x...
I tried "Ghostlight subs.srt" that I downloaded. I do not change it. The length of my video file is over 2 hours. "Generating was successful." is displayed when I set "Subtitle Properties" dialog like this png.

Any idea how to go about fixing it? I've tried it with just half and a quarter of the subtitles to see if it's a particular spot, but it's the same result.
Is this? https://patents.google.com/patent/US20100266262A1/en " The length of encoded data in one line cannot exceed 1440 bits."
To answer your first question: yes, you can. When you're prompted to select a template for your DVD menus, you can select "No template". You are right. https://forum.doom9.org/archive/index.php/t-99306.html "There is a limit of 1440 bits per line for a subpicture." The error occurs in a menu too. http://sourceforge.net/p/dvdstyler/discussion/318795/thread/a18ff6ee/ I do not know where the error occurs.
Hey, so I'm quite new to DVDStyler, but I've managed to get by ok with tutorials so far. But I've run into an error when I try burning my dvd with subtitles. I get this error message: ERR: Encoded row takes more than 1440 bits. Please simplify subtitle. Failed From the sounds of it, it sounds like one of the rows is too long, maybe? But it doesn't actually say which one. This is the full segment from the log: Multiplexing subtitles 1 of 1 Executing command: spumux -P -s 0 "E:\TempDirectory\dvd-cache\entry001.vob_spumux.xml"...
I need to make a dvd that will be shown on a monitor that is vertical, like a cell phone. So, I would need a 9x16 project. I do not see an option for that. The only way I can think of is to creat the dvd and rotate everything 90 degrees left but that is going to be a bit of a PITA having to look at sideways buttons and videos. Is there a better way to do this?

This is probably a trivial question, but I have not figured out the answer. I have downloaded a TV series and want to make a DVD so that I can send it to my mother-in-law (who is ONLY in her 90s). DVDstyler appears to be a great program and can handle this, but...
