some photos are just shown for a very short time on screen (less than 1 sec), even if all photos are supposed to be displayed for the same time (8 sec for me).

If i replay the same sequence, the same image is skipped.

on some slideshows it is the 4th and 8th, on others the 3rd and 5th and 7th.

i sue a LG DVX9900H dvd player.

i display for 8sec and fadeout 0.8 + fadein 0.8 between each slide.

may be related or not, but the fadein/fadeout is much faster then 0.8+0.8 sec ... ?

So, it looks fine when you play the .vob file and/or the dvd output on your computer, but you just have the problem with the hardware dvd player? Maybe it's an issue with the number of b-frames and so on...
