DVB-T2 Common Simulation Platform / News: Recent posts

This release is required to support recent versions of MATLAB. It is known to work correctly in version 2016a. Functions that were deprecated some time back have now been removed completely from MATLAB, and this release replaces those functions as recommended by Mathworks. It probably works in versions at least as old as 2012b, though this has not been checked.

This version includes exampleCommands.m, which contains a number of examples showing how to use some of the more sophisticated features such as Receiver Buffer Model (RBM) parameter checking, RBM simulation, T2-MI input etc.

There is not change to the codebase, but the first example command in GettingStartedWithCSP.txt has been updated. The previous example no longer works because the stricter parameter checking in version 3.2.0 causes an error.

Version 03-02-00 of the CSP has now been released.

This includes updates to the parameter checking related to the Receiver Buffer Model (RBM) resulting from further development of the theory. See http://www.bbc.co.uk/rd/publications/whitepaper216.shtml for a thorough discussion of the RBM.

This version also fixes some bugs that prevented some BER simulations from running.

Some more V&V cases have also been added.

Version 3.1.0 of the DVB-T2 Common Simulation Platform has been released. You can download it from the main "download" button, or check it out of the SVN repository.

The new release includes all of the features introduced by the draft version 1.3.1 of ETSI 302 755, including the new T2-lite profile.

A brief guide to Getting Started with the CSP has been added to the project files. This should help users to install the CSP and run a simple simulation. Download it here:

A BBC R&D White Paper describing the Common Simulation Platform has just been published. It can be downloaded from the BBC R&D website at http://www.bbc.co.uk/rd/publications/whitepaper196.shtml.

A complete version, v3.0.0 of the CSP has now been released and can be downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvb-t2-csp/files/releases/DVB-T2-CSP-03-00-00.zip/download. This release corresponds to revision 7 of the Subversion repository.
