There is a support for RTL8139 card. For other cards support, you have to compile a new kernel, with modules support. Don't forget to enable the Tranparent Proxy also.
On the README files on the distribution, quoted:
"You should really compile a new kernel with module support, because the kernel supplied hasn't been feature-rich and only support IDE hard drives."
