I'm curious as to whethor the 1.07 fan made patch fix will work on Dune Legacy or if it's cocntent is redundant. There are also other miscellaneous "patches" avalible, you can pretty much find them all listed here: https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Dune_II:_The_Building_of_a_Dynasty
I'm also interested in custom content, particularly the custom Atreides campaign and music packs, but can't find any info on how to install them. Any help appreciated.

Alright, I realize this project isn't that active. But after 4 years I was itching for Dune II and decided to start messing about with it. And I got the music working; you have to open your Dune Legacy.ini, which is located in %AppData%Roaming\dunelegacy\ on windows and ~/Library/Application Support/Dune Legacy on macintosh. Then you have to scroll to "Music Type" and set it to directory and launch the game once and quit it. You'll notice there's no music. Now download the MT-32 or SC-55 music pack and go back to where Dune Legacy.ini was. You'll now see a music folder with additional folders in it.
For the idle/peace music, place the files "dune2_mt32_01_3", "dune2_mt32_01_7", "dune2_mt32_02_8", "dune2_mt32_03_9", "dune2_mt32_04_10", "dune2_mt32_05_11", "dune2_mt32_06_12", "dune2_mt32_09_13", "dune2_mt32_09_14", "dune2_mt32_18_24" in the peace folder.
For the battle music, place the files "dune2_mt32_10_17", "dune2_mt32_11_18", "dune2_mt32_12_19", "dune2_mt32_13_20", "dune2_mt32_14_21", "dune2_mt32_15_22" in the attack folder.
For the house ending music, place the files "dune2_mt32_19_21", "dune2_mt32_19_23", "dune2_mt32_19_22" into folders finaleA, finaleH and finaleO in that order.
For the mentat briefing music, place the files "dune2_mt32_07_10", "dune2_mt32_07_09", "dune2_mt32_07_11" into folders briefingA, briefingH and briefingO in that order.
For the house victory music, place the files "dune2_mt32_08_10", "dune2_mt32_08_11", "dune2_mt32_17_21" into folders winA, winH and winO in that order.
For the house defeat music, place the files "dune2_mt32_01_5", "dune2_mt32_01_4", "dune2_mt32_01_6" into folders loseA, loseH and loseO in that order.
And for the rest, place the files "dune2_mt32_00_2", "dune2_mt32_16_23", "dune2_mt32_16_24", "dune2_mt32_07_13" into folders intro, mapchoice, meanwhile and menu in that order.
Now unfortunately I haven't figured this all out since files "dune2_mt32_20_22" (the ending theme) and "dune2_mt32_00_4" (the West Woods logo theme) don't have any obvious location to be placed. On top of that the intro is cutoff so the women only says "The building of a dynasty" instead of her full quote in addition to the theme only playing when the image of the Arrakis appears on screen, contrary to the original.
I'd also like to see if I can finally get some mods working like the Atreides campaign conversion (5th download under Dunedit) or the EMC Patch, but haven't gotten the time yet.
Somehow I doubt anyone will see this comment, but I'll just go ahead and post it at least for myself as notes.

Thank you for this info. I was able to get Roland MT32 music working in 'Dune Legacy 0.96.4b'. However the most up to date version 'Dune Legacy 0.97.0alpha' doesn't seem to work using this method, which is a pity as it has a lot of improvements on the previous version.
Have you learnt anything more about this since your original post?
