It seems that an old bug described here has slipped into the Live build of the game for one more time.
There should be somewhere a part of the code by RichieQ in which he's been already restoring the intended functionality.
Apart from AIPlayer.cpp, SmartBot.cpp also seems to lack the required doLaunchDeathhand statement.
