I have created a small installer to setup Cent OS or Fedora as a lamp server. It installs Apache, it will install the latest version of PHP v5.5.1 or newer, it will also install most of the PHP extensions that you would need.
It installs MySQL and it will install phpMyAdmin v4.0.4 when it has installed everything it will do a server update to make sure everything is the latest version to make sure there is no configuration problems.

The installer will also add Apache and MySQL to the system start up.
I have tested this on CentOS 6 and is running fine so far.
