On reboot, I'm getting the following with using old
socket files:
$ dtach -A /tmp/dtach.roger-admin /bin/bash
dtach: /tmp/dtach.roger-admin: Address already in use
I have mrxvt listed within my Xsession startup file and
I have it using dtach within it's tabbed windows. But
to work around this issue on reboot, I need to append
the mrxvt startup line like so:
$ rm -f /tmp/dtach.roger-* && DISPLAY=":0.0" mrxvt
-name default &
No, using this to avert the previous issue kind of
defeats my purpose of using dtach to preserve my
sessions if X fails as my Xsession startup script will
kill the session. Dtach is only still useful if my gui
terminal quits though.
