Oh great, thanks. I had actually spent a couple of hours trying to
do (c) myself, but as usual, C, Pointers, and I were having the
usual disagreements resulting in SEGV *grin*

I'll check it out of CVS over the weekend, and give it a go, might
even add (a), that shouldn't be too hard for me to do.
