Another "must have" is an indicator for the set forward speed.
It is easy to turn the mouseweel very fast and order a speed change that the engienes can not achieve instantaneously. The actual speed does not match the setting, the user attempts to over compensate or fails to realize that the ship is still accelerating to the desired speed... and then he gets crazy.
