Category: webui Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Invalid Priority: 2 Private: No Submitted By: Brian Fistler (bkfist) Assigned to: Stevan Bajic (sbajic) Summary: Web UI incorrectly reports status of option Initial Comment: With PostgreSQL back-end and DSPAM compiled to use postgres as preference storage, if you select the option to "Enable the sending of daily spam quarantine summary emails" it DOES set the option in the preferences section of postgres, however it does not display the correct option on the preferences page of the Web-UI. If preferences are again saved without re-checking the box, the preference is then set to off. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Stevan Bajic (sbajic) Date: 2009-06-28 21:30 Message: Hallo Brian Fistler Okay. Then I can close this bug because it is absolutely normal that without "AllowOverride dailyQuarantineSummary" you can't change the value as user with the Web UI. Unfortunately the Web UI does not query dspam.conf or the preference extension to see if it should display that option or not. It will always display it but as soon as the user tries to change it then the dspam binary will bark about not being allowed to change that value. We from the DSPAM community know that this is sub optimal but for the moment it is right that. Don't expect this to change anytime soon. We are on the way to rework the Web UI but that is going to take some time. Kind Regards Stevan Bajic ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Brian Fistler (bkfist) Date: 2009-06-28 20:51 Message: If AllowOverride dailyQuarantineSummary is set in dspam.conf, then it acts correctly. If AllowOverride dailyQuarantineSummary is not set, the web ui still displays the check-box as described above. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Stevan Bajic (sbajic) Date: 2009-06-24 22:11 Message: Hallo Brian Can you check if you have allowed to set that option in the Web UI? Do you have "AllowOverride dailyQuarantineSummary" in your dspam.conf?
