Your credentials should be set in config.inc.php
The setup.php script first tries to connect to the mysql server using the credentials in config.inc.php
If no action is given, it calls the functions CreateGeneralTables and CreateLocalTables these functions actually create the tables.
Check if these functions are called in your setup.
I tried installing Drorit 3 or 4 times on my server and it was also installed in my partner's server without any problem.
Before installation you should change config.inc.php to your credentials and create directories: backup, balances and openfrmt, all these should be writeable to the user under which apache is running.
