I have Dream 2.2 installed on Win11. When I try to select my sound card input device the program crashes. I am unable to set any sound card device without crashing. Any help on this?
My desired sound card input device is an ICOM 7300 - Microphone (6 - USB Audio Codec). I have successfully done this on Win10 on another computer.

Yeah, there was a problem with non-default values in the release version. However, there is a work-around:
1. Mouse-over, but don't select the inputs and outputs you want, noting the precise name of each.
2. Once you've noted both, exit out of Dream.
3. Edit your Dream.ini file and look for the "Receiver" section.
4. After 'snddevin=' change whatever's there to the input you noted in step 1 (e.g., Mine now says 'snddevin=BlackHole 2ch').
5. After 'snddevout=' change whatever's there to the output you noted in step 1 (e.g., Mine now says 'snddevout=MacBook Pro Speakers').
6. Save your changes to Dream.ini and restart Dream. It should start right up with the inputs and outputs you wanted as the new defaults.

Mark,
Yes. That helped. I had tried that before I posted my request for help, but I must have had something slightly off, because it wouldn't keep it, and would overwrite the .ini file. After your message, I tried again, and it is now working.
When we had some message exchanges a while ago, I was trying to get Dream going on my Mac M2 laptop. I've since added a Win11 computer to my desktop to talk to my radios.
Thank you for the help.

I'd love to know where this "Dream.ini" file is supposed to be, since I don't see it in my installation directory.
Should be wherever dream.exe is run from.
