How do I get the signal?

How do I tune my receiver? What frequency is this software using as the center frequency? Is it 2kHz? Is it 5kHz? I need to know, so I can tune my SSB receiver appropriately, and place the center of the DRM signal where the software expects it to be. Right now I have it tuned so that the center of the DRM signal is at 3kHz in the spectrogram (right in the middle of my SSB receiver's 6khz audio passband). But the software is not indicating it's getting a lock on the signal. Furthermore, there's no line on the spectrum display to indicate where I should be putting the signal for the software to be able to "see" that the signal is even there. Furthermore there's no way to click on the signal in the spectrum display to select it, in order to cause the software to decode it.

And even worse, there's no help.chm or help.pdf file that comes with the program to explain these aspects of the software's use, so I'm literally finding myself just clicking on random things in the settings menu, hoping to make the software see the signal. So some help from the community would really be helpful.

Normally, the sound card sample rate should be 48K/sec. So the DRM signal should preferablly be placed at 12KHz which is right on the center of spectrogram.

Another thing to remember is IF bandwidth. normal DRM broadcast signals are about 10KHz wide, so I think 6KHz of SSB audio bandwidth is a problem at that: Dream may able to detect the signal ID, but may fail to decode station label and audio steam.

    Excellent answer from zhongfanyang.

You won't be able to receive DRM in SSB mode. unmodified amateur short wave radio rigs are not generally suitable unless they have something like a discriminator tap.

This is a good explanation https://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/DRM
