Category: Compiler integration Group: 4: Serious Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 8 Private: No Submitted By: Dan Smith (dlsmith) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Unchecked warnings not working Initial Comment: When I compile the following code in DrJava (20061025), I get no warnings: import java.util.*; public class Unchecked { public void uncheckedRawAssignment(List l1) { List<String> l2 = l1; } } When I compile from the command line, I get the following: $ -> javac -Xlint Unchecked.java Unchecked.java:5: warning: [unchecked] unchecked conversion found : java.util.List required: java.util.List<java.lang.String> List<String> l2 = l1; ^ 1 warning I *am* able to produce a "path warning" in DrJava when the appropriate box is checked in "Compiler Options", but those settings don't seem to be working in the case of unchecked warnings. I thought we had this working a long time ago, but I am unable to get the warning to appear on a handful of different versions going back to 2005. I also can't get it to work on another machine with the Aug 06 version. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=438935&aid=1585334&group_id=44253 |
