If a user has JDK 5.x installed, but JRE 6.0 installed, drJava cannot compile and run programs.

The solution is to either uninstall the JRE 6.0 or upgrade the JDK 5.x to 6.0

This happened because Java's JRE upgraded itself using it's update program (jusched).

drJava rocks! The interaction pane is a killer tool when demonstrating new concepts to users.

Sort of. The JVM running DrJava must be the same version as the JDK being used to compile classes.
