#457 console input not echoed in console window

I'm using the development release (20060320-1906) on a
Mac running OS X v10.4.5. I like the fact that console
input now appears in a box in the interactions pane,
but I notice that it is no longer echoed in the console
window.

This should be easy to fix. In the old popup window code,
it took only one line of code to echo input in the console
window.
