In particular all files should be links except the one in /usr/XF86/lib/ with much numbers after it. So all the links should somehow point to that file. Also, in /usr/lib should be no real file but only links, because these may be old libs. I don't know if the paths are correct, because I haven't access to my machine at the moment. However, I had the almost exactly same problem and that was the cause I think, but I'm not quite sure. Also you should try to use the dri-modules from the kernel. I think when I used the own-compiled ones it did actually hang. Try to use the modules from the 2.4.9 kernel. greets, Benni |
