Leigh, i815 will have XFree86 3.3.x support very shortly. We will be putting it up at support.intel.com. Since we don't directly work on the Utah drivers I'm not sure if they will currently work, but it shouldn't be too hard to port them. A Programmers reference manual for the i815 will be available shortly as well from developer.intel.com. XFree 4.0 support for i815 has been merged into the XFree86 tree and will be available to the general public with the 4.0.1 release. I can't give you actual performance numbers but quake is very playable at 8x6. -Matt > -----Original Message----- > From: Leigh Thomas Dyer [mailto:12...@bu...] > Sent: Friday, June 23, 2000 6:56 AM > To: Dri-devel > Subject: [Dri-devel] i815 (Solano) chipset graphics > > > > I've been looking at building a cheap, stripped-down box for > taking to > lan parties, and so I've been looking at a micro-ATX i815-based > motherboard.
