Alright, so how do I override the X server's perception of the clock timings on my card!? I have an ATI All-in-Wonder 128 Pro AGP (ATI Rage 128 chipset) with 32 MB video RAM on an Intel AL440LX motherboard (PII-300), using kernel 2.4.1 and XFree86 4.0.2. As I mentioned before, my X server reads bogus clock timing values from the card, i.e. (II) R128(0): Clock range: 1091177.73 to 54713.67 MHz Which naturally kills all attempts at negotiating a civilised modeline. I've tried copying modelines from an XF86Config file someone else posted on here, but that doesn't help anything, since the X server still tries to apply this clock range to them. Eventually, all mode lines are declared invalid and the X server quits. Help? Sasha ================================================================= Sasha B. sa...@ye...
