I deleted the function body :)  It compiled and runs.

[Dri-users] XFree 4.0/DRI Prereq Kernel 2.4 for Voodoo3

I am trying to setup Xfree 4.02/DRI on a system with a 3dfx Voodoo3 =
card.  The OS is Redhat 6.2 with kernel 2.2.14.

The prereq software in http://www.xfree86.org/4.0/DRI.html indicates =
this kernel may be okay, but as I work through the installation, it =
appears a 2.4 kernel is required to compile the kernel module for this =
card.

Am I correct that this combination will not work?

I don't know about 2.2.14, but I have recently used kernel 2.2.18, with
the AGP backport against the dri cvs tree (head branch) on a voodoo4 card,
and after a few problems have direct rendering working.

i don't think that it's a 'great' solution..

you can 'rename' the function as well... ;))

Since I had just downloaded the 4.0.2 source a day or two before
my Dec. 25 DRI update I figured the xftlist.c from 4.0.2
should be good enough for the time being. 

I was too lazy to try and fix anything. :-)
