Hi! I tried your patch on a laptop with a PCIE X600 and the laptop locked (not sure if i could SSH in or not). I attach the dmesg for the DRM part, the Xorg log, and a little patch for r300_driver CVS which hopefuly adds X600 and tries to correct the X300 entry (added the CHIP_IS_MOBILITY flag not sure it's OK) and changed the name to what is used in fglrx ("ATI MOBILITY RADEON X300 (M22 5460)" VS "ATI Radeon X300" not sure this is OK either). I would be glad to help with debugging/getting these cards to work. Thanks! PS: I tried using the fglrx with Xorg CVS using this hack (http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33803476 - post #12) but the DRI part of fglrx won't load because the DRI versions don't match (5.0.0 VS 4.1.0). -- Pedro Ramalhais |
