The reason I didn't commit the changes was I didn't want to commit 
untested changes, but I forgot to test it (don't have the radeon handy 
all the times). I can commit it (respectively an updated version) if you 
want, but AFAIK nobody has tested the driinterface branch with this 
patch. Though you'd need to update the Imakefile.inc.
