Without any other information, my best guess is that your screen resolution or virtual size is too high. At 24-bit color you should be able to do 1024x768 on an 8MB card. At 16-bit color you should be able to do 1280x1024. Depending on how the driver is organized, you may only be able to do 800x600 & 1152x864. Could you send your /etc/X11/XF86COnfig-4 and your /var/log/XFree86.0.log to the list? |
