Hi: Using the ati r200 cvs nightly of a day or two ago, I managed to get xorg-x11 (6.7.0) to recognize and set up 3d support for my Radeon 9100 IGP Mobility card. Kernel version is 2.6.7 (gentoo-r11) logfiles and glxinfo report everything good to go, but when I run glxgears, x immediately locks up solid--apart from mouse motion and the power key. Everything that can be a module is, and I get this result whether DRM is compiled into the kernel or not. I also disabled powernowd, in case CPU speed changes were causing the problem. Am I looking at a bug here, or can someone see indications of likely problems in my setup? Anyone who got this card working successfully care to post their logs & setup info? The relevant-seeming bits of my logs and glxinfo output are reproduced below: Kernel output: Linux agpgart interface v0.100 (c) Dave Jones agpgart: Detected Ati IGP9100/M chipset agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 321M agpgart: AGP aperture is 32M @ 0xd2000000 agpgart: Found an AGP 3.0 compliant device at 0000:00:00.0. agpgart: X passes broken AGP3 flags (1f00020f). I'll also add what may or may not be relevant: when I run xdriinfo, it informs me that libGL is "too old". Don't know if that indicates version skew or not. Thanks for any suggestions... |
