Do you have wait for vertical refresh enabled. > Try resizing the window and see how much the fps varies. If you haven't > looked in your /etc/drirc file before, do so. I have the line "options agpgart agp_try_unsupported=1" in my /etc/modules.conf and I have the line " /sbin/modprobe agpgart" in my /etc/rc.d/rc.modules file. I don't have a /etc/drirc file... and I can't find anything in /etc/rc.d/ that could be it. It's a slackware distro so maybe the file has a different name and location. I'm not sure what you mean by "wait for vertical refresh enabled". When glxgears has normal window mode, it runs at 50.000 fps. When maximized to fill the desktop it runs at 48.400 fps. when I make the window as small as possible, I get ~130 fps. When The window is offscreen and smallest size (when I switch to a different virtual desktop), I get ~5300 fps, but here xload shows processor working at full power, where in the other cases the processor did nothing. Where should the ForcePCI=false option go in XF86Config, and exactly how should it look? -- solomon so...@av... |
