When you reinstalled the snapshot, did you use a newer=20 > version than before? If so, I'd suggest trying the version from june=20 > 30th, since there might be some bugs in later versions which only seem=20 > to affect some people (doesn't work for me with cvs version, and there's= =20 > already a bug report from somenone else that segfaults happen - I'm not=20 > sure if snapshots would be affected, but it might be possible). You could try without installing the common snapshot. This way you keep your old libGL without Ian's last TLS changes. Though I'm not sure if it's changes in the driver or in libGL that are causing those segfaults for some people.
