The Xv changes were in the DRI trunk. They'll probably not appear in
4.0.x. You'll need to wait for 4.1.x or use DRI CVS. The changes are
not bugfixes: they're partial rewrites, new options, etc. So they're
not suitable for a 4.0.x release.

Regarding the banding: I've not looked at XFree86/DRI code in nearly
4 weeks. I've had some important thesis work, and other issues. I'll
take a poke at the problem later (if someone else doesn't beat me to
it first). It might be the YUV width limitation of 1024 pixels. Have
you seen this with overlay and/or textured xvideo?
