don't know. What chip do you have? I can't see that with my r200.

cvs fails to update completely new directories. Try 'cvs -z3 update
-dP'. And, the build system often fails to notice new dependencies and 
such things, so you explicitly have to do a 'make World'.

Quake3 has a built-in frame counter, try (in the console) 'cg_drawFPS 1'.
