Bugs item #455028, was opened at 2001-08-24 10:38 You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100387&aid=455028&group_id=387 Category: ATI X Server Group: System Hang/Kernel Oops/Panic Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Laurence Page (ljpage) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Radeon with DRI crashes kernel Initial Comment: I have an ATI Radeon QD card working perfectly (but slowly) without DRI using kernel 2.4.5, XFree86 4.1 and the radeon 1.0.0 driver. AMD 1.2GHz with VIA VT8363/8365 chip set. If I compile & install the radeon 1.1.0 driver (downloaded within the last week) the system hangs as X starts up. Just get the VGA console smeared across the top inch of the screen. In the log file everything is OK, not even a warning. The DRI enabled message is there. What can I do to try and track the problem down further? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100387&aid=455028&group_id=387 |
