Hi, I'm using an old All-in-wonder Radeon (the original version of the Radeon, before they started with the #'s). I got DRI working nicely in it (compiled in Debian with a 2.4.21 kernel and X 4.2), but for some reason I keep getting these really weird "texture corruption" issues...all the colors get completely screwed up. This happens in Quake 3, Enemy Territory, Unreal Tournament, etc. The games all run fine and detect the 3d card and everything, but then they just randomly mess up and all the colors along the walls and floors (and sometimes in the menu system or on the hud) get all messed up. The corruption usually changes each time the video mode gets restarted - so it might look normal for a level and then the next level looks really screwed up and then the next one is only slightly screwed up. So, I was just wondering if this is a known issue and if there's some way around it...as it is, the games are basically unplayable. In case it matters, I have an Athlon with a Via KT266 chipset on the motherboard. Please cc me on any replies, as I'm not normally subscribed to this list. Thanks. -Ari |
