Bugs item #438532, was opened at 2001-07-04 06:43 You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100387&aid=438532&group_id=387 Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Frame Droppings ... Initial Comment: My System Specs are: Amd Athlon 1,2 Ghz 256 Mbyte RAM Vooodoo 3 3000 ... I have compiled the latest CVS tree, and had to take the libglide3 from your resources page (I must have said this a hundred times here: amd 3dnow support does not compile for the voodoo3 at glide3) well, direct rendering works, and Quake3 shows me a framerate of 40 fps. However, there is a second where everything runs smooth and then there's a pause, framerates are dropped and I'm just 1 meter farer where I should have been. there's simply a small pause, and this makes it somewhat difficult to target an enemy with a railgun ... I don't know how to make a video of this, if i knew how i would do it and the q3 demos won't indicate this. This was not the case with older versions of DRI, this way it was even better playable on my old 333 Mhz 64 Mbyte RAM computer .. (i took the voodoo 3 from there into my new computer) I remember this problem too when i had upgraded DRI on my 333 MHz computer... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100387&aid=438532&group_id=387 |
