Hi, I installed Linux Mandrake 9.1 RC2 and I am having trouble getting hardware 3d acceleration working. When I installed Linux I said to use XFree86 with hardware acceleration but it doesn't seem to be working. Here is what I got: Linux Mandrake 9.1 RC2 XFree86 4.3.0 When I run glxinfo I get direct rendering disabled. In my Xfree86.0.log I have (II) RADEON(0): [drm] loaded kernel module for "radeon" driver (II) RADEON(0): [drm] created "radeon" driver at busid "PCI:1:0:0" (EE) RADEON(0): [dri] RADEONDRIScreenInit failed because of a version mismatch. [dri] radeon.o kernel module version is 1.7.0 but version 1.100.0 or newer is needed. [dri] Disabling DRI. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Also, keep in mind that I am not very good with linux so please keep the explanations easy. :) Thanks, Jeff. |
