By looking into your XFree86.0.log it seems that your're trying to load a "mach64" driver but there is none. The support for the mach64 card is in the "ati" driver. There is no mach64_drv.so file I know of. The contents of "nm mach64_drv.so" file seems to be a kernel module. In the xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/os-support/linux/drm/kernel you should do make -f Makefile.linux mach64.o and then as root do cp mach64.o /lib/modules/your-kernel-version/kernel/drivers/char/drm depmod -a to install the kernel module. Sometimes you have to create the drm subdir if it doesn't exist. José Fonseca |
