After several weeks of good work, Dr DivX began to crash near the begining of the DivX creation, during the audio processing part.

I don't know why this suddenly began. However it may be related to the last release of DivX 6.6.1 or Dr. DivX 2.0.1 b4, but downgrading any of them or both now doesn't solve the problem.

I also tried to install the same versions of the DivX codecs and Dr DivX inside a virtual VMWare Windows XP SP2 machine on the same computer, and I got the crash there either. Thus it happen also in a certainly much more fresh Windows XP installation the my main one.

I usually process MPEG2 PS files recorded from my TV digital card (in France). I thought also to a change in the broadcasted French digital TV standard, but I don't know how to check that.

I use Windows XP SP2 on a AMD Athlon XP 2400 motherboard (Elitegroup K7S5A).

Please find a solution, for me this bug is critical, I am no longer able to encode DivX using Dr DivX (and I have trouble to find another software which is not affected by some other painful annoyance or that have some feature important for me missing).

I think that this bug can be related with #1627924 and #1605846.

I reverted to Dr. DivX 2.0 stable release for being able to work. I still cannot use the 2.0.1 b4 version.

Maybe you have a problem with AC3 codec property or you may deinstal some audio codecs or filters, check it in drdivx' config in last tab if one of filters has null instal it
