Im not sure how to make a suggestion here or if this is even the right place to do so but.... Ok so OpenWebRX+ https://github.com/luarvique/openwebrx has a lot more stuff added to it and has package repositories to boot. Take a look as it may be a better option for DragonOS. I use it on another system and it is way better than the original OpenWebRX

Thanks

Total right place. I'm not sure why I've been hesitant to switch to that version. I guess I was just paranoid about all the changes and it being we based. I go back to this statement on the one developers site,

"Code quality and longevity over multitude of features
The application code shall be written following common best practices and guides, with the goal that it may run for a long time, stable, and without the need for constant adaptation or maintenance."

But I guess who am I to say that's not the case in the forked/alternate version. Have you found any reason for concern running the alternate OpenWebRX+ open on the internet? I suppose one could always run it behind a VPN of some sort.

I have not found any issues with the updated version and I know a crap load
of the online SDR's are using it. It is still open source. I know back in
the day people wanted to submit extensions and he just would not accept
them telling them to fork their own so that's kinda where this one came
from. It was silly that if you wanted this feature you had to run this
fork. It was the same crap with dump1090 they didn't want to add features
so we ended up with 30 forks. I run OpenWebRX+ open to the world and so far
I have not had any weird log stuff from anyone trying to test it.

That makes total sense. I ended up pulling it and upgrading it over the normal one.

Question, I noticed it “recommends” some other packages that do not seem to exist. Dump 1090 mini and some other things. Extra SDR somrthing, which I don’t think that would be good if it did exist as it’d probably overwrite something.

Other thing I notice is if you go to setting page the top options bar changes bsck to the old openwebrx.

Besides that it seems super cool with tons of options! Oh it also overwrites the modified shortcut I made that launched openwebrx on the fly. But I guess if you started the service back up and the codecserver and always wanted it running the shortcut would be fine.

I have not installed it on Dragon yet I added the repositories to my
desktop and just did a sudo apt install openwebrx which took care of all
the dependencies. Not sure if that is a possibility for you or not. Then it
          updates automatically.

It did actually the same on Dragon, it’s just a noticed it was “recommending” some packages. Just got me poking a little. But so far it does seem to run fine.

Im not sure how to make a suggestion here or if this is even the right
place to do so but.... Ok so OpenWebRX+
https://github.com/luarvique/openwebrx has a lot more stuff added to it
and has package repositories to boot. Take a look as it may be a better
option for DragonOS. I use it on another system and it is way better than
            the original OpenWebRX

            Thanks

Did you ever get the caribou working with OpenWebRX? I went back to the thread on it on github and I think I have it set up properly but failing to start. I think I remember this being a sample rate issue before. Ive tried 1-4M and all crap out.
