If you have time, could you grab the latest DragonOS Pi64 image that had the SDRAngel issue, flash it again. Get it running and then download this package here
Hi I got an error. Did I miss a step? The deb is in my downloads folder
ubuntu@ubuntu:~/Downloads$ ls
sdrangel_20231221-1_arm64.deb
ubuntu@ubuntu:~/Downloads$ sudo dpkg -i nameofpackage [sudo] password for ubuntu:
dpkg: error: cannot access archive 'nameofpackage': No such file or directory
ubuntu@ubuntu:~/Downloads$

So back to it not working again and I think I've figured out why. When I compile sdrangel on the Pi5 itself, all is well. I then take out the SD card an insert it into a Pi4, I get the illegal instruction. So there must be some flag or something getting turned on that the Pi5 has that the Pi4 doesn't.. at least that's my though. So the issue is back again in the R35 img. I'm now building SDRangel all over again, but on the Pi4 and I'll see if it runs in both the Pi4 and Pi5 soon as it's done. If so, I'll make yet another new image.
I'm curious now though if this problem plauges any other program I've built native on the Pi5 instead of on the 4.

I’ll take a look, I quickly checked on the Pi5 but not the four if I recall correctly.
Thank you for pointing this out.

I took the latest r33 and put the sdcard back in the pi4. So far SDRAngel loads and runs for me.
Could you take the latest and open up a terminal and type sdrangel and see if you can tell at what point it’s failing?

Hi, I did another fresh install of beta33 and when I open up a terminal and type sdrangel I get "Illegal instruction (core dumped)"
Mind sharing what SDR if any you have plugged in? I want to try to replicate exactly what you’re seeing.

Hi, its a RTL-SDR V3
I’m also now having the same thing happen. I’ll see why this is. Thank you for pointing it out.

In a terminal within the same location as the deb run
sudo dpkg -i nameofpackage
I’m finding that it’s running fine now even on a pi4. Just want someone else to confirm.

Replace name of package with the one you downloaded, should be fine after that.

I also uploaded a brand new image with this update in it, fingers crossed the problem is resolved. I’ll wait to hear how it’s going on your end.
