I am having difficulties with SDRAngel in particular. While I attempt to use the APT decoder it tends to automatically attempt to decode from a satellite that is on a far away point on the globe from my location. I do make sure to click the button the select my location have it set to use the signal from the tracker and not selected from the map. One thing that seems off is when I have G-predict open next to it, the two trackers don't align and one will say I have a NOAA satellite near while the other doesn't.
Since i'm quite new to Linux and Dragon in my first time using it, it may be a simple noob mistake.

I’ll have to try this, but I suspect it may be something we need to create a ticket for at the SDRAngel project page. Another option is the SDRAngel mailing list. There’s a ton of people there that usually jump in and provide advice right away.

So this is pretty interesting, never tried it before on SDRAngel. I plugged in an RTLSDR. I have the APT demod box open and also a satellite tracker.

It was confusing as there seems to be no SDRAngel control for NOAA 15, maybe I'm missing something. So i selected the NOAA 19 satellite and setup a control for it against the RTLSDR.

I also have gpredict open. I just happened to be lucky that NOAA 19 was overhead and I observed Gpredict saying so, while also suddenly SDRAngel automatically tuned the RTLSDR to 137.078 and started trying to decode.

I'll have to fully test this morning, but it seemed working in this instance. I also made sure to set my location in both SDRAngel and GPredict.

Okay, ill double check my location settings in both. And is the location for the SDR Angel satellite tracker one of the buttons on the mid to upper right in the tracker window?
Thank you for getting back to me!

        Oh boy,

I hope i mentioned somewhere in the beginning how I was a noob prone to obvious mistakes. Anyways, I had not set the correct location in preferences which is why things were all off.

Thank you very much for trying to help and I do apologize for the unnecessary preoccupation of your time.

No problem at all, you’ve now given me a new interest in SDRAngel and experimenting with the areas I hadn’t before. This is really cool!
