Hello, I downloaded DragonOs, flashed it onto a USB drive, but when I boot from the USB, it's not DragonOS but SigintOS. Additionally, SigintOS is asking for a password. I tried as indicated with "live/no password," but it doesn't work; the password is still incorrect. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks for the response!

Did you download the ISO from here?

      https://sourceforge.net/projects/dragonos-focal/files/

You’ve had to gotten the file either from somewhere else or somehow did not actually flash the proper ISO to your USB stick. For sure you should be seeing absolutely nothing related to SigintOS.

I recommend making sure you’ve flashed the DragonOS iso with say etcher to your usb and try again.

Thank you very much for the response. It's a big mystery. I did download the ISO here, twice. By the way, when I flash my USB drive, it automatically renames itself to DragonOS Focal R31.

And furthermore, I don't have any Sigint ISO. I had, however, tested it a few months ago.

It's been three days that I've been working on it! I'm not a power user, but it's still sci-fi! I had tested SigintOS live some time ago, but not on the same USB drive! So, I'm starting up with my flashed DragonOS SanDisk and the rest in pictures. Thanks again for ur help

I just downloaded the ISO, burnt it to a usb with etcher, and cannot replicate what you’re seeing. For me it boots with the lubutnu splash screen and goes right into the DragonOS desktop.

When you select the R31 in grub you’re saying that it shows the lubutnu logo but ends in the SigintOS login? I’m not sure what else to try except maybe a different usb stick. I’ll look at your pictures again.

I formatted the key, am currently flashing DrangonOS, and will retest. Thank you very much for the effort you're putting in. I would love to have both of your pictures ;-)

Eh bien, it's amazing, USB key formatted, flashed again with DragonOs iso, and still Sigint!!! If I don't insert the USB key at startup, the BIOS doesn't recognize it, and I have no USB boot option. If I insert the USB key at startup, I have two USB options, one doesn't work, the other launches DragonOS, and DragonOS installs SigintOS. So I download DragonOS again, even though I'm sure I downloaded it here, and I'll keep you informed, the download is slow.

Is it possible to temporarily disconnect your internal hard drive?

Well, without a hard drive, the USB key does indeed launch DragonOS, good catch. I was finally able to see DragonOS, but I wonder how a USB boot retrieves information from the hard drive??? I'll have to clean all of this up, and if you have any ideas, I'm all ears. In any case, thank you very much for your help, I can finally use DragonOS!

I’m wondering if perhaps, just a thought, maybe there’s something weird with legacy vs uefi going on and that somehow while dragon first looks to boot sigintos does instead? That’s super strange. Do you have any way to hook the internal drive up externally and wipe it?

No, that won't be possible; I have too much data on my internal drive. But if I do a full installation of DragonOS on an external hard drive, do you think I'll have the same startup problem? I'll take out my internal drive again and install Dragon; maybe with a full installation, there won't be any more issues."

So, without my hard drive, I was able to install DragonOS from the Live USB onto another USB key, and it works perfectly, even after the update. It also restarts well after reinstalling my hard drive. So, no more issues. Thanks again for your time; I would have never thought of removing my hard drive! However, the mystery remains, but we don't care anymore :-) ! So, I'm off to test everything! And happy holidays!

That is so odd, only thing I can think of is that Sigintos is actually on that hard drive somewhere? But either way, good news you got it going!! Happy Holidays to you as well!
