Sorry about the late reply, I've been away from home... I've found variations in stroke ordering in different sources. I don't have a strong preference. However, in the interest of consistency, I've been trying to follow the stroke order shown on the Animated Chinese Characters site at http://www.ocrat.com. We should come up with a policy so contributors know which stroke order to use for the project. > Also made a small change to the character data java editor: it now > displays the stroke number next to the starting point. This is excellent, pure genius. Harald, you've added some characters in CVS that I don't see in the Dragon Directory. I rely pretty heavily on Dragon Directory to figure out which characters I need to add and which are already available, so it would be nice to keep it up-to-date. Sorry to be a nag about this :] If any of you coders has a bit of spare time, It shouldn't be too difficult to write a script to sync up the Dragon Directory with the characters that are in CVS. While I'm requesting features, I'd love a way to enter a batch of characters into Dragon Directory, rather than having to click through several pages for each character. Thanks, David |
