The attached patch removes (IMHO) unnecessary whitespace in the C++-style file template for file documentation.

There was a reason for that to be there... I think it was to work around a bug in tempo... but I can't quite remember exactly what the issue was now.
I'm away from home for the next few weeks and will try out your patch on my return.

My attached patch compiled and worked fine with GNU Emacs 21.4.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, Motif Version 2.2.3).
