I run Borland (R) Turbo Pascal 7.0 in DOSEmu, open or write a any program, for example:
Program Test;
Begin
WriteLn('Hello!');
end.
and after press the F9 key to compile, compilation has normal, and them twice press the F7 key for trace. On this, DOSEmu is crashed, and I get system message about a Ubuntu kernel troubleshoting. In the Ubuntu 8.10 this problem is not exist. Bart Oldermann, maintainer of DOSEmu, is wrote about this bug - this is a Ubuntu kernel bug. In the Slax and the SlackWare linux'es DOSEmu work correctly, but incorrect work DOSEmu on Ubuntu in the 9.04, 9.10, and 10.4 beta versions. Please downgrade the Ubuntu 10.4 kernel to kernel of Ubuntu 8.10 for correctly work the DOSEmu on the stable release of Ubuntu 10.4. Please rewrite DOSEmu from sratchs for the newest kernel of the Linux.
Actually this was a kernel bug with vm86 in kernels starting from 2.6.28. It was fixed in kernel 2.6.37, and some of the stable branches (at least .35, .36) before that too.
I meant that cpuemu can now save from such
a problems, and who cares about the 32bit
installs anyway? :)
